Brought my gear half way across the world & about to head to Tarifa in a weeks time. Windfinder says wind is nill atm. Can anyone give hope & say that the seabreezes(if any) are more than enough to kite in??? Otherwise facing a very sad trip

I was there in the winter(the off season) and it was a hair raising 30-40kn dead onshore wind. my mate was there 3weeks ago and both windfinder and windguru indicated no wind. He was only out on his 7 for most of the trip he said. he said they find it a difficult place to predict because of where it lies. my advice is to hire a car for your stay. there is heaps of places to kite. have fun!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I suddenly have a new lease of life. Hopefully the wind is as you say DJ. But then again, my smallest kite is a 9m. Hmmmm.......

The only thing you will struggle to find in Tarira is space to kite!

They have thermal winds starting in the afternoon most days. I guess those are not really covered by the forecasts. Been there many times and always wind

If Tarifa is too busy/not your style, we're just heading home after 2 weeks in Dakhla, Morocco. Flat(ish) water, a great speed spot & an awesome downwinder, all in the middle of the Sahara. You can fly from Malaga, via Casablanca. We'll post some pics/stories in a few days.....
