Surfed here a few times and at Bowes River, would think it would be pretty good for kiting and thinking of going in a few weeks.

Anyone kited here - good bad experiences?

I actually haven't kited there but I imagine it would be good, let us know how you go if you get up there.

Its really no good. surfing no good either.

Pick the right wind direction and that wind averages 2 days per month. This bit is honestly spoken.

But theres a couple other good spots within 1000 kms.

Yeah I used to live in Gero about 15 years ago, Bowes, Tractors and other spots there were super average as far as surf goes

and never took any notice of winds when they were onshore as I didnt know what a kite was then... other than onshore meant beer o'clock
