What's your experience from the wind maps here on seabreeze? Just got into kitesurfing and starting to look at the wind forecast maps. As for today, it said a bit of wind in the morning on sunshine, but at 8 am there was nothing.

Any other good places to look at?

in summer its spot on, in winter the wind is less predictable as the wind is caused by frontal systems and lows. there fore you cant actually accurately predict whats going to happen as the system might not move the same speed or direction as predicted etc. just wait another 2 months for summer and hit up a sea breeze

Oh you poor unsuspecting blighter...

Kiting is often a bittersweet relationship

It's starts as a love affair, all choccies and roses (summer) then eventually you realise it is an all consuming ungrateful mistress... (winter obviously).

Welcome to the annual winter blues festival...

Hang in there bud when you taste those sweeeet SWesters from November-ish onwards you will think all your chrissies have come a month early.

Get used to it unfortuneatly, I use it as a rough guide line for whats possibly on the way. If you pay attention to your local conditions you'll find you can learn what will normally happen in your area ..
