Don't pack two bags with kite stuff and clothes seperately.

Use one kite bag and have a carry on.

Take heavy things like your leash out of your check in where possible and put that in your carry on.

Pack a very light bag with cothing in your kite bag. Kites and board should weigh in at around 10-12 kg max. with harness, If you really want to go to the trouble, take fins and straps off board and put in carry on.

You're travelling with A anyways so realy you can take up some of the Kgs that she doesn't use.

What are the chances of me borrowing your travel kite bag? Don't think you will need it the way the winds are looking right now for the Sydney area. Ha sorry don't mean to rub it in. I am also really looking to flying up to Cairns again for the August eXtreme kite from the 2nd to the 7th. Should be Brilliant.
