First time on rottnest is it any good for kitesurfing.

I'll go out on a limb an assume your not trolling.
It's usually a little stronger than the mainland and there's big bitey's.
Wee'ing on your board usually keeps them at bay

I'll go snorkeling, been told it's good at this time of year. Also wee'ing in a wet suit helps a bit.

Yes it can be good.
Just don't go spearfishing, if the rangers don't stop you, the sharks will.

1. Take a shark shield
2. Don't body drag as you will resemble a live trolling line
3. Don't pull the Quokka's tails. They get angry.
