Hey mate.
.
If your in the Gong the best place for waves would be East Corrimal in the N/E. Hopefully there is still some of this swell about next week. If it has a bit of north in it sometimes Thirroul beach is the pick. I'm off Tuesday/Wednesday and keen to get out so sling me a PM when your up. Gus.

I just wannna know where you can get into the waves when there is W in the wind. I haven't found anywhere were its not super gusty coming over the land. So painful having 30knots and you can't ride it due to dodgy wind direction.

Mate if its blowing S/SW i head out off the noth side of Towradgi pool. It can be really good if the swell is up and you can get some awesome rides. Or you can head down to Port Kembla in S/W. Anything N/NW just sux.

Have had some really good kites at Port Kembla beach in WestSW's (slightly xoff in that direction).Always kite with a buddy there cause wind can go West (very xoff ).Much safer to kite there after fronts have passed and are moving away. Its very hit and miss to get good waves and the wind the right direction, when you do it really pays off.
Gerroa is prob much closer to you.Windsurfers occasionally sail there in westerlies. Not as xoff as Port Kembla but the wind can get very strong there.
