Tip #1 KNOW THE BASICS OF KITEBOARDING
# All kiters are required to wear a PFD 1, 2 or 3 which complies with the relevant standard. Approved inherently buoyant wetsuits ar acceptable as an alternative to a PFD 3.

BTW, there is a typo in this paragraph on the website...

I agree great site, would be nice to have some of the info on the KBV site.

Victorian Marine Safety regs 2009. You have to wear an approved PFD or a wetsuit of at least 3mm you are more than 400m off the beach.

i to have noticed some of the things a bit confusing but its more for the people who know nothing and are new to the sport but i will let them know and get some of the information adjusted. thanks for the feedback keep it coming coz the more we get the better we can make it

I think its alright ..... I like the fact that it looks like the guy is about 200m from the water and about to be dragged up over the rocks and across the road..

The page is about safety and thats what can happen if you dont concentrate....... i like the context....

please also add to the rules that Altona is out of bounds for kitesurfing next summer...
