I'm coming for a quick trip to WA for 5 days from Friday and unsure about what gear to bring.

Which wetty will be OK for the Yallingup/Margaret/Graceville area? Short sleeve spring or steamer? Boardies?

Surfboards-looks like some swell-bringing normal 601 and 606 mini-gun-OK?

Kites-bringing 6M and 9M. OK? (Normally ride a 9M here up to about 25 knots).

Just not sure how cool it is over there compared to E Coast-I'm just in boardies over here but understand the water is cooler over there-and hopefully windy too (offshore AM and crosshore PM).

Been to Indo SO many times and flown over WA and always wanted to check it out-finally have the chance.

Any dramas with getting gear stolen along the way-we'll be in a dreaded Britz van-so easy target and obvious non-local.......

I found a steamer is the wetty of choice for surfing, as water is cooler than most places, if it is 40deg c, then maybe boardies and rashy. kiting you may get by with something less

If you want flat water with a twinny then dunsborough looks like it could be on Sunday, Monday and or Tuesday mornings (get there early as usually all over by lunch). It is not normally good here 2 days in a row so keep an eye on the forecast if you can.....

If strong south easterly then go to augusta for the (flatest water ever !) glass in the river or the waist to chest high waves at the mouth and up the beach.

Margarets main break is the go for waves. If its on then you will see the kites. Looking at another forum posting there is a comp there on the 7th from 2pm. Yallingup may be a good option also.

The only time I got broken into was at Conto's car park. Do the usual - leave the glovebox, etc open with nothing exciting in it.
