Yep, still watching from the window for wind ...... catching up on the forum in the meantime.
I was thinking about finding an instructional DVD, and wanted some advice on what to look for (for hybrid SLE kiting), and where to get it.
I have read quite a bit of stuff, but I think I work on a visual level and a DVD seems ideal.
As someone else has commented, there is a lot info for a newby to remember from lessons, especially for my old blond brain , and because I havent got out much in the last month I feel like I need to refresh my knowledge. Yes I know I should be on the water, but there's been little wind when I can use it! Yes, I know I need more lessons, but I want to get going a bit better so as to make the most them.

PS. Is there a way to seach the forum for previous postings on a subject?

Above the logout button it says search click that and type in your query.

Fat sands beginner DVD might be the go, its one DVD that’s been recently released so may cater for the SLE kite learners as well. Duno, I have the intermediate one.. Very well done... out of the three instructional kite DVDs I have it’s without doubt the best one to learn from.

Anyhow think the wind down here is as good as it will get *sigh* Looks like it’s the 16 meter today or nothing at all.

Hi Nic

Not exactly an instructional DVD but if you have broadband there is a lot of info available to download on this link, its not all full on tricks there is some basic info available to pass the time waiting for the wind.

The best instructional DVD by a Country mile is "The Complete Guide To Kiteboarding" put out by Naish.

It starts with trainer kites and goes all the way to advanced tricks with kite loops !

Yeah thanks all for your help, figured out how to do a search of the forum too, and know now what to go look for, quite a selection!
Kite lesson dvd's as off season entertainment while waiting for summer winds again? Need to find myself a kiter bloke to appreciate that one I suspect...

Agree. It's pretty complete, sensible and well made. It allows beginners to have a tool that will keep on helping them as they're improving, and it's very safety orientated too.
