Hi all,

Been keen to get into the sport for a while now, and I'm finally to the point where I can get together a starting kit. Rather than heading to the mainland (money which could be used on gear) I'm wondering if there's anywhere in Tassie I can get some instruction?
I heard X-Sport is no more, is Andy still around though and does he still teach?

Hope you all get some good weather and wind over the long weekend

Awesome news, thanks a tonne St Kite. I'll give John a bell, but off the top of your head do you know if we need to bring our own gear?

Steve Harwin is back in Tas and while he's not an official instructor, he did plenty of it with Tas Uni for years and he's pretty experienced and he has a bit of gear.

His email address is [email protected]

If you get in touch, mention me, he won't mind, he's a cool cruisy guy. Probably be happy for the excuse to try and get on the water.

Cheers

Instructors will have all the gear you need with them for the course.
A wetsuit of your own is desirable although these can be provided.
You will also find a good range of gear is now in stock at Canoe'n'surf including latest Flexifoils and Nobile 555 and 666 boards.

Cheers

John
