Hi Guys and Girls,

Just a quick reminder that we are running two intermediate kite clinics in December here in Perth. One for guys and one for the girls. Check out our website for details.

The courses being run are subject to numbers so we need to know whether we will have enough to do two seperate course or whether we should combine guys and girls together.

Thanks and let me know peeps.

Cheers and Good winds,

Thomo

Hi Thomo,

Like I said, check the website. Click the visit sponsor link to the left for details.

The dates will be Kitegirls: 4th to the 8th December and Kiteguys: 11th to 15th December.

These dates are depending upon numbers as the courses may be combined if we don't get enough starters to fill both courses.

Hi Dub Dave,

Sorry mate, that would be Beginner. We are looking for intermediates; people who can ride upwind confidently, gybe/transition, basic jump and ride in a variety of conditions.

You should have your own gear or you can rent gear from us for the course. This course is about improving your freestyling and general riding ability.

We focus on the tricks riders want to accomplish, anything from a basic jump to boosting, to raleys, back rolls, kite loops etc. Each rider gets individual attention for their particular tricks.

We talk you through each trick as you ride by way of our helmet radio system and then analyse the result on video slow mo the next morning. Guaranteed improvement!

Good winds,

I think i'd be keen on doing something like this to further my kiting obsession :) I was looking to have some time off work then to go kiting heaps, so it would be good to really improve over that time. What would the approx cost of the clinic be?

Not wanting this to be too commercial, I have replied to you privately. I am just asking people to show interest so I can decide whether to run the courses or to concentrate on other lesson/surfari type events instead.

In fact here's an even better idea. Why dont the forum members tell me what sort of event/clinic/surfari/lesson/coaching/downwindery type thing would be most appealing and then I will try and put it together.

Thanks and good winds,

Sounds excellent, where would you hold it if you stayed metropolitan? Just out of curiosity mind, as with the IKO ITC I doubt I'll make it this year, but would definitely be something I'd want to do.

Thanks Greenpat,

The course will be held at my place in the open area under the carport and in the lounge room (TV and Video). We are situated in about 12 minutes North of the city and about 7 minutes from the beach.

Don't worry we will more than likely run another one next year or later in the season if we get enough enquiries. The Kitegirls clinic last year was good but I have improved the course this year to make it even better.

This sounds like something i would definatly be interested in when i get to WA. I plan on being a dirt bag kite bum for the season so as long as the price is reasonable i'm in.

Basically, what i would like to learn is some more local knowledge of the kite beaches, how to land big air (I don't have a problem going big, just landing), ride waves, and more wakestlye tricks.

Thanks Guys,

It looks like we will run the guys course, but sadly the girls course has fallen in a heap due to lack of response. Really disappointed for the ladies, but I will keep hoping that we get enough interest by November before it hits the scrap bin.

For those interested, I will make contact once we get all the finer details nailed down. Thanks for your enthusiasm and replys.
