Are you talking from first hand experience, or is that just something you've heard?

Can you elaborate on these problems? I am very interested.

I have one. I have used it about 20 times so far and no sign of problems. I personally think they are a fantastic harness but this is worrying.

I recently dragged a guy into shore from about one k's out because his harness broke and he did not know how to self rescue. Admittedly he was using an old windsurfing harness. Stupidity aside I would be mighty pissed off if I had a swim ahead of me because a harness was faulty.

I will do some web research.

I have one as well and think its great, definetly most comfy from about 6 Idid try, also it does look pretty " normal " no signs of any probs with webbing as yet, but if I have any issues ,they must be covered by guarantee I belive.

I wear one (and sell them) and I reckon they're the beez kneez.

As mentioned before, there have been some problems with the webbing starting to frey. This has only happened to one we've sold so far, and was replaced within 4 working days with a brand new body (not a new spreader bar/bar) so their product backup is excellent. Obviously they are having an issue with the materials being used like the 2009 North Styler's, the new batch's coming out probably already have this problem rectified.

I just bought one, without knowing of this issue, so fingers crossed It will be ok. At least I know to look out for it now. Ironicaly one of the reasons I chose this one was because it was recommended (over other well known brands) for its build quality. The harness itself looks well constructed with everything you need and nothing you don't. It was the most comfortable and supportive of the ones I tried on.

Are the new harnesses much improved over older harnesses? I've got a dakine pyro thats prob 3 years old now, it's still in good nick but has always ridden up a bit. I assume it's my bad technique (i.e. kite too high) but would be useful to know others opinions on this..
