When I frist started reading KBM, I searched all the newsagents and I couldn't find it...selected newsagents do stock them, but only a few here in Birssy... so just go to your local surfing shop like Goodtime in Brisbane, or a similar shop in Perth that sells kitews or boards and get it there...

good reading and better winds...

Should be there sometime in the next few working days, if not call your local shop most of the bigger ones will stock it, regardless of some of the hate mail it gets on here I find it sells really well in my shops.

I can understand that it gets hate mail. I want to read it to see kitesurfing, not how drunk everyone gets after a competition. That mag needs to accomodate all kitesurfers and not just the select crew that competes and gets plastered - I don't mean to offend this group (I am not having a go at them - just the mag)

Windangoesoff - KBM are just covering the elite crew in the sport & the lifestyle they live. It just so happens that the elite are young, compete and run wild every chance they get, so what.... didn't you at that age?
What would you rather, pics of average joe family man doin a simple hooked in air or to see the latest moves being thrown down by the best in the sport.
People wouldn't waste money buying a mag that shows average riders doing average tricks when they can just go to their local spot to see all this 'action' in real life for free.
Please proove me wrong & make a average mag that accomadates all kiteboarders and see how well it sells? I'll even buy your first issue to help you out.

...any way I've picked up an issue or two from the newsagent on Hay st, west perth- next to the cross walk , near all the cafes ..
and yeah they do like their 'pissing on' stories but it's a bit of a flashback, you know we were all young once. Say did I ever tell you about the time after a bottle of Jack and 14 tequila slammers I blah...blah...blah...

If you can't get KBM, you aren't missing anything really.

Loads of crap about drunken hooligan behavior. Its a badge of honor to them to be kicked out of places !
Bad luck for the normal people following them.

I would not read this rag at all .

Oh yeah,I have a FREE subscription,and I still won't read it !!

As for the "elite" bit, well "effete" would be nearer the mark !

Well, I quite like KBM... if you don't like it then Timothy, then frankly, give it to someone else who wants it! Read whats good and ignore what you think is "hooligan behaviour"... the last issue I've got... its got heaps of great stuff on Ryan, Daz and some of the other really gr8 kiters from aussie and the world... sum great info on the new kite and board technologies such as the new ReconGen2 and cardboards, and about the new aussie companies bringing our boards, kites and clothing range... sooo.... just don't read the other parts if u don't want to... or.... don't say harsh comments about something you might find innapropriate and others might find okay... I may be young (18), and you would think I would fine it all okay, but some things I don't... others are just plain funny and yeah may be rude.. but laugh now n again mate ... and some of the things they say a bit innapropriate, but it's life... you just ignore it and go about ur way... that's what I do... cheers... thats my little bit thats all...

Good winds all and hope they get better

Use both Rhys as well as cardboards. Bit embarrassing having my name in there though as I am nowhere near the level of any of those guys. I mainly do pr and demos of the liquid force gear
as well as the other local team/promo riders who will give you a run on any of their gear. Geoff,Cheryl,Dan,John,Mick and Jay.

Think I'll have to get my name taken off that list of hotshots!

You would have trouble getting upwind and just have a pretty miserable time allround.
Biggest kite you would ever want is a 16.

You should get going and have fun on your 12 in 12kts,
they are grunty kites.

But, when you have the skills you can take the LF20 of BFK21 for a spin at low tide in <11kts, just remind me to bring my camera so I can send some pics of you to your school newsletter!

I am a seasoned pisshead with little kite boarding experience.

Send money, sorry, please subscribe (click one of my many 'informative' popups) and learn about my recent exploits at Paddy O'Malley's in Atyrau, Kazakhstan (pictures tell a hundred words).

As a bonus I will include a quite techincal project designated to be constructed on my Triton 2000 workbench - a shoebox. In addition, I will lecture you about the joys of canine ownership as well as the many other habits I chose to persue whilst others are out kiting.

Hurry...join this exclusive circle of pubescent ethanol consumers...now

My wife tells me I still smell of rum!

Shooter: KBM is perfect for you then. Reading it just makes anyone with a brain angry. But I have to admit the pics are getting better and the price is right.

Seriously how can you guys have trouble finding KBM in newsagents? It's in every bloody newsagent in the country, even those tiny 2 pub towns stock it. Not only that but they re-stock for the entire 2 months that each issue runs. If I ran a magazine i'd have wet dreams about the sort of distribution deal they have!

Finding Kitesurf is a challenge, finding Kiteworld is even harder. they always sell out within a week or two of arrival and they don't get restocked.

The best part of KBM are the ads. They are the most informative part of the magazine. I have competed in pole competitions in NSW and the stuff people get upto is the same as kite comps. But i would disagree with most peoples comments about showing the lifetsyle of the young and famous, as being informative to the kiting public. Even these guys that compete want to see photos of themselves kiting, not pissing all over the place, and acting like teenagers.

I am sure sponsors are using these photos of drunk and stupidness to include in their latest catalogue for the new seasons range of kites!!

The first time I got KBM was a while ago. It was funny though coz this guy tried to make the point out to be some hot spot where everyone hangs out... hahaha - its a family spot! They said somthin about checkin out the hot chicks on the sandbar and that made me laugh coz its all old ppl and kids! BUT IT HAS GOOD PICTURES - i agree!!

Kitesurf is usually the best I think coz it has lots of travel stories but I actually find it the easiest to find. I find "kiteboarding" (its American) pretty boring thou.
