I have just acquired a friends 2008 13m Waroo, its never been on the water and will go well with my 11m Waroo on low wind days.

Anyway I only have a 45cm bar and really want to get a 55cm to use on my kites. I have to say I'm not really all that impressed with the Best bar. Is it possible to use another brands bar with both my Waroo's, they are both 2008 kites. If so I would appreciate any recommendations.

Cheers,

Of course it is, I used a liquid force bar with below the bar depower on my 08 Waroo .............. worked fine. I think they fly with the lines all the same length on full depower.

You will just have to check to see if the knots/larks head connections match up or make a few alterations on the pigtails.

we made some extensions to use the bandit bar on an 11m waroo and it works sweet. Just make sure your line lengths are the same.

Hosky

Morg is onto it - Any bar with equal line lengths will work on most kites, for the tuning - low winds 25m + lines work better, higher winds to max 25knots - use 20m lines turns faster great for big jumps if you send it hard

For either setup, you should have max depower set (if needed) so you can just steer the kite - have a bit of a tuning session on the beach (pig tails) trying various settings till you get it right... this is applicable to all kites & a valuble learning lesson, then rip it upp

Go hard or Go Soft

Thanks guys,

I already have kook proofed my kites so they don't have the normal Best tails and loops on them.

The guys at Kitepower just hooked me up with a Cabrinha 2N1 S bar and made sure it was setup correctly for my Waroo's. Not sure how I feel about the placement of the override stopper, seems like it would get in the way. Much better build quality then the Best bars

So had a crack with the new bar. The little override grommit that sits on the depower line annoyed me as I was sheeting the bar in and out. Quick pit stop on the beach with a screw driver and I had the screws the hold the grommit in place removed which fixed that problem. I now don't have hands free but I never use that and if I work out I'd like it I can just screw it back in.
