There is a BoM site in Lancelin but unless it's changed recently it only uploads data twice a day, and any live readings reputing to be from Lancelin are normally from Gingin Airport, which is kind of useless. If you want a live reading from Lancelin, drive up, stand on the point with your arms up like jesus and decide between the 8 or 10m.

Basically you want Laurie to tell you whether to bother driving up this way or not? after the circus out there the last couple of days I'd say no, and if by 'in the region of that small town' you mean a little further up the coast any live weather feed from Lancelin would be pointless, there is often a +-5-10 knot difference between the two.

The weather station is on the rifle range, a little back from the coast and behind sand dunes. Coordinates are available on the BoM website. I think that is why it reads a little lower in a seabreeze. New graphs for Fish Rocks (off South Beach) and the RPYC annex are great.

Maybe I was a bit annoyed, not a big fan of seeing my kite skim 3 feet over the top of shag rock because some guy doesn't know he has right of way, but needs to keep his kite up so I can get by downwind of him. I tried to point it out to him at the time but all I got back was a thumbs up, a big smile and a 'wahooooo'. They say ignorance is bliss...

I only pay attention to the ocean reef graph. Just take 5 knots off and it's pretty close for most Perth beaches.
