Hi folks
Is point perpindicular the best chart to use for huskisson?
If so how does it typically relate to what u find at husky?
Cheers

For a NE it is usually about 5knots less on the beach than the guage. Not always, but usually.
And yes it is the best gauge.

Huski is right in the bay so actual wind and wind readings are a bit dodgy. Point perpendicular is the closest to Huski, but seems to always be lower than the other Illawarra readings. If you want to kite I reckon you should either Jews north to seven mile or shoalhaven, or south around five mile or Suxex inlet.
Are you new to the area or just coming on holidays?

The spot in Husky is two blocks from my house, so I keep a very regular watch on things. My observations in the 15 years living here are pretty much what jboz has to say. I would be inclined to say between 2 and 5 knots dif.
If the wind is from the southeast or east it can be very dodgy at times, but not too bad if you are keen. NE is generally pretty steady for the most part.
Yesterdays SE was very off and on, but still doable.
