Hi everyone

I had a bad incident happen to me recently. My kite lines got sucked in by a jetski. Not just did i have to buy a new bar , but the lines on the kite itself was ripped off as well!!

I have a 2012 Cabrinha switchblade 10m kite, but cant find the line lengths anywhere
I would really appreciate if some one who has the same kite can maybe make a measurement of the rear end attachment lines,f rom the kite to the start of the pigtail.

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you lose both rear line pigtails? If you only lost one, use it to make another the same?

No unfortunately I lost both. I have ordered and received both the pigtails, but still need the line that goes from the pigtails to the kite itself

If no-one replies, it would be fairly easy to work out, you'll just need some 4mm amsteel with a series of knots about 2-3cm apart. Some-one should be able to tell you though, I'm sorry I don't have one in the used kites section at the moment.
If you want to make them, PM and I'll describe the method.

it is 1240mm loop end to loop end on the 10m switchy then add pig tail length

hope this helps

but I've got to ask, how do your lines end up in a jetski motor?

Just email Cabrinha website and they will help you out i'm sure. Plus you'd be getting the proper lengths not possibly stretched lengths.

Hey shannon8888

Thanks for the measurement man, really appreciate it! Still have my old bar and loads of spectra line to make those bits.

Haha worst experience of my life! Had my gopro attached to my kite with a self made mount on the middle strut. Being my first time using the gopro I realized mid kite session that I didn't attached the gopro's safety line. Kite deflated and dropped out of the air. In fear of losing my gopro I swam as fast as I could towards my kite to retrieve my gopro. Lines were not coiled up when the jetski arrived to ask if I was okay. Got a bit too close and stared sucking up my outer lines. Soo glad none of those lines were wrapped around my leg or arm.

Cheers for the help, be safe out there!
