From Pascal Omaru
Abidjan , Ivory Coast
West Africa

Good Day Dear,

I deem it a respect and honour as well as priviledge to write you, on my deep conviction about you, after my deligent search for a honest and trustworthy someone who will assist me,of which I have chosen you to assist me for the transfer of an inheritance, which I inherited from my late father that was poisoned to death by his relatives associates out of enviness.

My name is Pascal Omaru , I am 21yrs old, a native of Sierra-leone in West African region in the local districk of Konobo and am the only child of late Chief Martins Omaru ,my late father is a Diamond Officer in the Republic of Sierra-leone.But before his death in a private hospital here in Abidjan where he was brought for us to fly oversaes for his medical care before he suddenly died, he told me of a fixed deposit of US$7,600,000 he had with a bank in Abidjan here, which he made me the next of kin because my mother died when I was two yrs old.

I have met the bank manager and declared to him my intention to transfer this fund out of Africa,as adviced me by my father for my security and of the money, which I want to, further my education overseas and for investment purposes, and he is asking me for my guardian,in order to terminate the Fixed investement and release of the fund,as signed in the Agreement Bond with the Bank Authority, in case of sudden death.,which I need your assistance to present you to the bank as my guardian for the transfer of this money into a new opened genuine account for a good and confortable life in your country after my education.

Please remember the confidentiality and urgency my mail required for my security while I expect to read from you. You can call me with my mobile Num; 00225 451 391 92 any Time of your Chioce.

Thanks and remain blessed.

Pascal Omaru.

I for one welcome our new african overlord and beleive he is here to help us.

On the flipside, he addressed me as "Dear" so maybe he's gay AND african, which means he has sa 99% chance of having AIDS so he's probably suffered enough without being banned from seabreeze.com.au, the most populated forum in the world.

Well if he's from Ivory Coast he is only 1/10th as likely to have AIDS as if he was from South Africa, the infection levels in Western Africa are much less than Southern Africa.

I think there is a difference between 'Southern Africa' and South Africa... I definantly remember that I learnt that back when I used to live there. Its many of the countrys just north of South Africa, but still south enough to be deemed 'southern'... but yeh... aids is bad... speaking of aids lex and I found a used syringe at Dolls Point the other day

There is, hence why I changed from Ivory Coast to Western Africa at the same time - countries to regions - as I thought it was more relevant.

I wonder if our new friend Mr Omaru has surfed his way to www.ebolamonkeyman.com/index.html yet?

Worth a look if you feel like a laugh

Perhaps someone could get him to send a photo of himself holding up a seabreeze sign? (would make a cool avatar)

Even funnier is they send them to me as well!

Thanks for all the emails about these two fella's - that's a total of 3 african scammers we've had the pleasure to get to know. We've got technology coming that will end their shenanigans coming soon.

Why not just ban IP ranges from Nigeria (main offending source), I'm pretty sure we haven't had too many nigerians accessing for kitesurfing information.

Usually those messages have a personal email somewhere inside the message for recieving responses. If you have a minute to spare cut it to our clipboard, go to google and type in subscribe to online magazines - there are no shortage so within 30 secs or so you can have him recieving a couple of hundred online magazines, spam, crap etc to the email address that they intend to get their punters in through... its not a long term solution .. but it feels good.

Yeah, maybe we need to type their letters for them so they can apply it to webpage properly.

Hi

My name is Advocate Abu Mabagheuakry. We have discovered a warehouse full of kitesurfing gear (cabrinha, naish and north - all 2008 models) which was owned by my client. He has died recently in a kiteboarding accident whilst trying to railslide the side of an oiltanker and I have been unable to locate anyone who would be a suitable heir to all this kiteboarding gear.

If you help me get the gear out of the country, I would gladly give you a third of all the kiteboarding gear (so you'll have a quiver which includes a 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16m x 10 of each brand and I'll throw in 400 spare bladders in case you have any problems. No bars unfortunately).

If you're interested, please give me your internet banking password, along with a blank copy of your passport I can use to put my photo on and fake my identity. I'll also need a copy of your DNA.

kind regards,

Abu

I don't know if it's relevant, but I used to access seabreeze.com.au from Ghana when I was working in the mines there. Theoretically there could be ex-pat kiteboarders working on the oilfields in Nigeria (as per that chap from "Don't Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs, She Thinks..."). A blanket ban on Nigerian IPs may exclude them? Of course they might just have to suck it up, I know I put up with the lack of many things I took for granted when I was there - if there had been no seabreeze.com.au I would have probably gotten more work done...

Surely then they could simply mail Laurie and ask to have their IP enabled. How many people are going to be out there? Maybe 2 or 3 per year vs the volume of junkmail

Yeah, and that's if there's any at all. I had a sneaking suspicion that I was the only person in all of Ghana on it.
