Hi,

I've just arrived in Perth and would like to know the best places to kite in Perth. I'm also looking for a board but I still not sure if I'll go for a surf or a twin-tip. I've been around cottesloe and fremantle beaches and haven't seen waves. Is it always like this? How will it be during the winter? What's the most common wind direction in the winter and what are the best places to kite in perth?

Just one more question (sorry)...where I can look for used boards?

Thanks!!

Ok you've landed on the right site for info. on Perth kiting.

Some resources on kite location at www.waksa.com.

Use the excellent search facility on this site and for gear the buy&sell section.

You can kite almost every day of the year hear, but you will become selective as a local. Golden kiting triangle is Cott-Coogee-Applecross me thinks....8 location in all wind directions 20 min. travel....worst wind is SE.

Winter is all about timing and you need to know what you are doing. Learn about frontal kiting for winter safety reasons.

Kite mix: 7-11 does locals....newbs and touros have all the weirdest sizes. You need a twinny and a surf board....and please learn the local rules because we have
them...respect
