Hey so years ago my Father bought me a stunt kite for my birthday but I never ever got around to using it. I found it a couple weeks ago and though damn this may actually be good to train with. I've got a kite but I haven't flown it yet because I still need some lessons, but here's a picture of the kite I found. My question is, would it be any good to learn with? It doesn't have a bar, just two rings for hand grips.

Check it out,

Yep will work fine- im sure with a bit of creativity your could make yourself a makeshift bar easy as also.

The 50m lines may be a little long. Try around 20-25m if your going to put a bar on it doesnt need to be anything flash just an old broom stick cut down would work.

Haha that's exactly what I was gonna do.. Drill a couple holes in a broom stick. Cheers for the tip too, I'll make the lines shorter xD

Perfect.
as said previously get an old brrom handle cut it so its around 40 cms long
Shorten the lines even 15-20m is enough for such a small kite
Go to the park loop the sh!t out of it and have fun.

Bought one of those for my missus to keep her occupied on the beach while Im on the water, cost $15. She loves it, then I had to have a go...I like to loop that biatch 20 times one way, then 20 times the other . Good wholesome fun and keeps her happy for 25mins.

I think I see something wrong with her technique; can you please post a close up of her? As if you didn't expect these kinds of replies when posting that photo!!

And yes the 'kite' is very nice!

Still can't see a kite?

Dex - listen to Rellie and go the broom handle. I did it with my stunt kite (sure i looked a bit of a goose) before i had lessons and it sets you up for understanding the wind window etc pretty well. Good head start before lessons.
