Hey all, been relocated from Melbourne for work up to the Gold Coast, just a couple of pointers would be great on locations and what wind directions are the best. And is there any restrictions along this awsome beach on the Coast.

Thanks, from another bloody mexican in Queensland.. he he

Hey GAGS ... What's red and found on Gold Coast Beaches ?
Victorian Immigrants.

The only no go zones are Currumbin Alley (respected by most kiters) and areas close to surf patrol stations. Obviously common sense should prevail in using kites on any of the surf beaches. Not that many mexicans in town at the moment, but things will pick up during the holiday season. Beaches work in any NE or SE winds depending on the direction of the beach cross current. You can always do a downwinder. It's 26K from Surfers to Coolangatta !!!

For calm water kiting try Len Fox Park adjacent to Loders Creek at Labrador or Shearwater Park at Runaway Bay. Again any SE or NE but Shearwater is affected by tidal flow. You just need tide against wind on lighter days.

PM me your mobile number and I'll keep you in the loop.
