sir Rowdy
Not at all I'm actually from Sydneyand started kiting at Narrabeen in fact one of the originals back in 99/2000 on two line kites. But this is all about the Australian KBM that really doesn't represent the whole country, it seems to always focus on QLD kiters and OS and the events that go on in QLD. If they wanted more sales you would think that they would include the rest of the country a little more.
It's not about the east v west, but I must say I have never been in a place like WA where there is so much patronich to there state weather it be kiting or industry and it's so awesome to see. A state that thrives on itself .It's nice to see.

Well actually i wasn't talking about the mag at all, as you can see the topic had gone off topic a few posts back.
I was meerly commenting on the seemingly bad vibe im recieving on seabreeze about anybody who isn't from WA going to WA to kite, whether it be from the east or abroad.
WA has the biggest amount of kiteable coastline and nice steady wind out of our whole country and maybe even the world.
When you compare this to the east coast with no where near as many good places to kite and hardly anywhere near the amount of wind, fellow aussies (no matter where you come from) and friendly tourists are warmly welcomed and made to feel at home often with a lift in the car for a downwinder and perhaps even a beer to finish it off (well this is the norm at my beach anyway).
Someone please correct me and tell me that what i am seeing on here is just the vibe of a select few and that WA is not as close minded as i am thinking. Lets see some of the aussie spirt that we are loved around the world for.
p.s. i have been to WA 2 or 3 times and dont really remember such a vibe, but maybe i was just blind to the fact?
