Heard about a "kitemare" at Warnambool, Vic. recently during a group first lesson. Apparently a student was bodydragging towards shore and was told to go left, he misunderstood direction, pulled down left arm taking kite into power zone causing the student to be lofted from water onto beach. Instructor/s and other students rushed to assistance and prevented further mishap. Good first lesson on the dangers of kites, lucky/unlucky student apparently suffered concusion and four busted ribs. OUCH

If someone else knows exact details maybe we can learn from this whether it was gear misfuntion,student misfunction or instructor misfunction.
