Kitestock is going to happen on the 17th/18th/19th of March 2006 at Port Gregory, WA.

The premier event for WA this season will bring together kiters of all levels, along with families and friends to enjoy exclusive access to the beach and ocean at Port Gregory.

Kicking off on Friday 17th March, with some social kiting, a sundowner bbq and a chilled evening of music and drink it will be the perfect way to start a weekend of unlimited kiting.

Saturday will see non-stop kiting action, with various "events" that all kiters can participate in, with prizes from some of the leading kiting manufacturers; plenty of food and drink, plus a live band for the evening entertainment.

Sunday will offer more kiting for those willing to stay that bit longer.

Throughout the weekend they'll be demos of the latest equipment and expert advice from some of the best kiters in WA.

Kitestock is all about the social side of kiting and we encourage people to come along and bring their friends and families to enjoy what will undoubtedly be THE event of the year.

The event will require pre-registration and all riders must have Public Liability Insurance, either through WAKSA or AKSA.

It is also the site of Australia's largest cannibis bust. Back in the early '90s some fisherman (NOT LOCALS) buried around 12T of imported hashish/thai sticks on a nearby beach.

Other than that, it is around 500km, literally 5hrs. Turn left at Northampton (50km North of Geraldton along the hwy.) - now you are on the coast road to Kalbarri. Follow the signs - can't miss it because of the big mother of a pink lake, Hutt Lagoon.

This date we aimed at was for a time when the wind wasn't going to be too strong .

This is an event for everybody that kites (most people would only have a 12 ) so we wanted friendly conditions for kiters and the spectators .

The idea is to have a party on the beach and do some kiting .
If we don't end up kiting the party will only be better and bigger .

A lot of effort is going into this and it is mainly aimed at the people who want to learn a bit more about the sport and want to meet other kiters .

The winners here will be judged by the size of thier smile .

Waves to the North, around Nobby's point, looong beach break. Will need big swell though.
Waves you see break onto dry reef. Hence, flat lagoon on the inside.
