take a 14 mtr kite if you go (or add 3mtrs to what you use in Perth )to Nusa Dua on the beach there it goes ok, the wind forecast, you need to downgrade by approx 3-5 knts
i saw a 19 mtr and 13 mtr Ozone edge i had a 13 mtr sport. if you are staying at Kuta its about 35 min ride & $10 AU to get there !!!!take booties lots of nastie sharp things
its definetely marginal out of 6 days i went one was good be prepared for self landing & launching also take longer board 4cm more? approx

I'll be in Bali this weekend too first up to Ubud for a week then going to Sanur the week after that which is a great spot for Kiting .. Jankie from this forum has a Kite shop there and there are a few schools and kite hire places at Sanur too ... www.bali-kitesurfing.org/shop.html

Do a search on Bali as a few weeks ago Jankie wrote about the prices for hiring gear and there are other threads about a Balinese guy who will drive you to the right places and launch/land you too at very reasonable rates ..

Hello guys,
to make it easy for all I reply to the questions....

For your info September is toward the end of the windy season!! you may get 30% of days in the all month of days that are kiteable (light wind).

I'm not involve directly in the school anymore, I only manage the web site and the store.
Bali Kitesurfing School is now fully owned and managed by the local Balinese Kitesurfing Team!
They are the best and will always great you with a smile, please support them.

They are located in Sanur about 30 minutes from Kuta/Seminyak and 45 minutes from Nusa Dua.
You can find all the details and price for the school and rental at the school page: www.bali-kitesurfing.org/kiteschool.html
The instructors are on the beach any day there is wind. Wind in Sanur in September is mostly 11-13 knots. Please also note that wind here is not that consistent (less powerful then you are use too) I get this allot from visitors! They complain that with the same wind at home they will be fully powered and here they are struggling.

This time of the year if you are not afraid of waves, nasty shore break, lava rocks and sketchy launching you may try to come to the West coast where a thermal some time kick in in the afternoon, more info in the web site.

Looking forward to meet you in the beach.
Bye Jankie

Your only jealous that your not allowed to go. May be you would have made more of an effort to come if your hero Trav was coming.
