Yer its died in the ass here I saw a few kites going well at the Caloundra bar on the web cam around 2pm

Nothing worse watching kites go back and forth at your favourite spot and being stuck at work.

70mm of Rain in the last 24hrs and looks like we're going to get another 70mm. I think I've forgotten what colour my kite is...at least the surf will be pumping this weekend.

did any1 go for a kite in the rain 2day, i had a look at caloundra passage and their were no kites so i pussyed out 2

I should of rang you today, raced home to find no-one out at Coolum or Peregian, and then round the back from Yaroomba to Redgate and not a kite out.

I sat on the beach looking at 6-8ft faces rolling thru. 3 sections to charge thru before your out the back, easy 300-500 mtrs from the beach to back sections.

A good indication was the feathering monsters near the shark nets.

I sat there studying...yeah I could just get past that section...whoo hang on there's another 3 looming. 15knots they said.... the wind seamed to moving around the headland at Coolum and was very light, been in that position before. Not enough to boost enough speed to break thru and get around the sections. The feeling loosing my board out that far with the amount white wash

Sorry I want be here to enjoy it...P.S no beach left to launch from...looks like hot launches from the top of the dunes again...
