Please let me know your thoughts on what to do to keep the sunnies from greasing up and fogging up when out kiteboarding. Have tried giving them a good clean in dishwashing liquid and putting on the sun screen a good hr before going out but it does not work, allmost as soon as I hit the water the visibility in them drops dramaticallly. Admitedly, I am not using any of the hydrophobic sunnies, but was hoping I could make my cheap (and thus loseable) polycarb workmans sunnies do the job
covered before cheap antifog surfboard wax on clean cloth wipe it over use another clean cloth to polish it off leaves a thin film not noticeable bingo!!
I have had the expensive specific purpose type and lost them so now have $20 safety glasses that are non polaroid type for better depth of field.
The type I found best have reflective lens and light tint so work well in cloudy conditions as well.
To minimise fogging I have drilled 5 small holes along the top of each lens works 90% of the time. I wash them before every session mainly to remove sun tan cream. Hope this helps as has worked for me over the last 12 months.
