Hi guys,

I am very interested about the idea of using a kite as a source of power for leisure sailing boats for cruising, but also for speed. I have read about a few different projects and actual crafts from France and the US, but nothing yet from Australia.

Have you heard of any Australian project around that?

Do you know anyone in the naval architecture industry that would be interested by this kind of project? If so, I would love to get in touch…

Bye

We've recently been experimenting with a Peter Lynn Kite Cat... I'll throw some pics up tomorrow but basically we were flying in around 5-6 knots, goin at least as fast as you would normally kiting... (with a 15m 09 Convert)

It's not a speed machine but it sure was fun!

The ted talk is very interesting, great innovative take on an old idea (wind power)
