Wheres the best place to get them. I've been looking at the Peter Lynn 3 wheeled ones but don't realy want to spend $700. I already have a kite that i was given for my birthday.

If anyone has one they want to get rid of for a reasonable price, may be interested.

What condition is the buggy in. Would Kitepower be prapared to post to SA. If so how much would the cost be. I think the bus companies would do it for about $50. Would you be able to find out the cost for me if you could please?

Just a tip.....not sure where you're from, but make sure you've got somewhere large and flat to use it. I seriously underestimated the amount of room I would need for mine.....as a result, I can only use it on very rare occasions when both the tide and the wind conditions are perfect. They go upwind at a ridiculous angle, so you need to have a ton of room both up *and* downwind and, unless you've got access to a dry lake or something, a nice hard-pack beach that gets direct onshore wind.

I'd love to use mine a lot more

We have plenty of beach and saltpan area over here.
Mostly near the coastline so we get nice clear winds.

Yeah my grandparents have got a place on a beach where the tide goes out hundreds of meters. And i'm sure i would find other areas. I used one of my dads mates on the beach down at Goolwa and that was great.

G'day Bubs

The buggy is in excellent condition, used maybe a few times then the owner became ill and could not use it.
Kitepower speialise in fast and cost effective web/mail orders from our comprehensive and constantly updated website.
We can ship it to SA no worries and the cost would be less than $50, probaly around $35 to $40, we would ship via Toll/Ipec.
Call 02 95296894 ask for Jon or me.
The area around Goolwa is epic for buggying lucky you!!!

One of the first times I used mine was on a relatively narrow stretch of beach at a place called Dundowran. 20+kts, gusting to almost 30 according to the BOM. I put my 2.1M Ozone Little Devil up.

The tide was out some ridiculous distance (probably a kilometre or more) but 99% of the available area was ripply, muddy crap. I had a brief go in it, but it was too soft and as soon as I *did* get going, I couldn't see a thing with all the crap flying off the front wheel into my face.

I decided to use the narrow area of hard, flat sand up the top instead.....only really wide enough to fly the kite without putting it in the trees. Just below that was a line of debris from where the tide had been right up and dragged loads of branches/sticks/crap back down.

As soon as I got moving properly, I knew I was in trouble.....the speed went up *rapdily*, but I had virtually no space to turn upwind to slow down because of all the sticks etc. As I wasn't slowing down, I had no option but to do a downwind turn and hope I didn't put the kite in the trees. As I swept the kite over the top, I got yanked clean out of the buggy and skull-dragged up the sand towards the trees. I stopped with the kite overhead, pretty much right at the tree line .

I always went looking for a much larger area after that .
