It is a life changing, focus changing, mood afflicting illness! I never signed up for this did I? Winter is drawing to a near. I can almost feel the air heating up and the teasing of SW trades lurking offshore.

Just sitting at my f**king desk training, thinking, passing an imaginary bar behind my chair and fantasizing about my next session is killing me. My body is buzzing and I am not even on the water!

Last Saturday I was having lunch with the GF and I could not even talk because I was so distracted by the rustle of trees and 15-20 knots that I knew were hitting the local! I have a feeling it going to get worse.

solution:- Find chick you like, teach her to kiteboard. If she doesn`t want to, move on to next chick. May take a while. Try chicks that can already surf or wake board or snow board, or even use an ironing board, makes the prosess quicker.

Great advice manny

The iron board type could have a dual role potential

Cheers

Careful guys,
Your'e starting to scare me, the last time I saw this kind of hype up a paedofile got mobbed in a shopping centre. I see this hype every year.

Heck! I was like that in my early days!

Be careful that you don't become the mob that rocks up at my local beach screaming along the sand 60km an hour in your haste to "GET OUT THERE MAN!", narowly missing several local oldies walking their dogs.

Geraldton is perfectly calm all this week and no change into next, absolutely EPIC surfing conditions.
Wildflowers are starting to spew bits of colour into the sky and the spring frocks are starting to be more abundant.

The first round of big insects are starting to appear, heralding the change out of winter.

The winds will be here soon enough,
I can still remember what the first week is like when your body is screaming at you as the muscles adapt to the demands. The sheer number of kiteable days outstrips the time and physicality of the fear of "missing out".

I have a fair idea when it's going to epic, and I'm quite content to prepare myself for that time and enjoy being in touch with what's happening around me. Including the boss's questions. As I'm going to need his understanding and support in about seven weeks from now.

There's a lot more to life than kiting, and a lot of life that will enhance your kiting. It just depends on where you choose to focus.

I have the fever,
Nothing beats that box rolling through the door of the shop. you know what's in it..
You grab the knife and crack it open, whats new? First the bags a different colour, hang on the perinting looks diferent as well.
Wow look at the size of that pump :-)
And how crispy does the bag feel, hurry hurry pull it out of the bag and hmm fresh new kite smell..
So nice and neatly folded, you know it will never get that small again..
I don't care if it's in the middle of the shop I'm pumping it up now I wanna get a look at it pumped up..
I can't wait to get it out on the water. Where is that wind, give me the bar. **** I gotta get in packed back in the bag and get down the water now..
Hope to see you guys there ;-)

Its the sort of fever that you just can't shake...

When you scurry down the bush path to the beach to check if its on....a quick look and its back to the car. So much going through the head, bar, kite, pump, sunnies, suncream, quick swig of water, what have I forgotton......my board.

You stop hearing people talking to you, get tunnel vision and are thinking 3 steps ahead of what you are doing..
