My recently acquired Xbow2 9m has today gone to kite heaven. We weren't together long but I'll never forget my first time or the good times with my bow..

The next sentence may offend some readers so please, if easily upset or offended either click 'back' or grab the tissues.

Whilst trying something new my beautiful kite powered into the sea resulting in fatal tearing across the heart and down a rib.

Suggestions on appropriate burials and similar stories of lost kites will help the grieving process for me.

Last Friday I took my Xb0w 2 12m out, within about 5 min I ripped from LE to Te on the shoulder of the kite - missed a whole weekend of kiting, got it repaired by thursday.

Took my nicely repaired kite to play in the river today and about 1hr later after a failed jump my depower adjustment strap snapped (the wide black one that goes through the buckle underneath the neoprene sock ) got fully powered up which took me a good long time to walk back to the spot where I could land it.

Now I am going to Kitestock next weekend and I am cr*pping myself because looks like my kite is near its life span and I dont want to spend my whole weekend watching other people kite.

Looks like my kite has one foot in the grave.

Cheers

i would suggest burning your poor helpless kite... and tape it, then black mail the manafacturer for a new one no one likes a bad reputation.

Hey Rich,

At Kitestock you may demo something you like even better than your old CAB

I suggest burning the kite and then placing the ashes in a tiny little minnie kite bag look alike thingy wich could then be hung off your key chain or around your neck, so you can be together forever.
I am truely sorry for your loss.
