A friend of mine wants to learn how to kite in Sydney. Does anyone have any great instuctors ?

There are several great schools in Sydney, all with backup retail support to assist you with any post purchase issues you may have.
Try the following...
Kite Sessions through the Balmoral Narrabeen store, or

Like Warren said there are several good ones in Sydney, however now isn't a great time to learn as winter is setting in and the wind is becoming gusty...this can be extremely frustrating for a beginner in the forthcoming months. Saying that I started lessons this time last year so if your friend takes the necessary lessons with an instructor then come summer next year he'll be good to head out alone. What area of sydney does your friend live?
