I am trying to do a bit of kite sailing I've used an 18 foot catamaran a few times with reasonable success. However I think a smaller one would be better.
Has anyone got a hobie 14 cat lying around they want to sell for a reasonable price.
I've looked in the buy and sell here but theres nothing in Vic.
I'm located in torquay.

Last time I was down in torquay I saw what looked awfully like a hobie 14 being dragged around the bay by what I think was a north rebel..

Maybe that was you?

Seriously, it looked like it'd have been going twice as fast with a regular rig, but I did think Cool!

I sail a Maricat 4.3 which is a Hobie 14 eqiuvalent. This is on my list of fun things to do when I have time.

How did you attach kite to boat? One kiter and one skipper or do you have lots of arms? Is it possible to tack or do you have to jibe?

Hey Aero

Yeah I've attached the fifth line to the dolphin striker, and put a line around the front beam attached to the chicken loop. works Ok but of course the beams are designed for downwards force not upwards force so you want them to be in pretty good condition. otherwise it might rip out.

You can tack if your really smooth and dont loose too much boat speed.
