Judging the season so far I'd say a large esky & a good book would about cover it !

PFFF!! Get away from Perth and come North. Nothing bigger than a 12m will see you right. 9m or 8m essential, many days on a 6m. Impact vest and a comfortable bed should see you through relatively injury free.

Bring a couple of boards and a surf board for the troughy hot spells. Unless you need the time to rest your over kited body.
