I am wanting to get in to a few comps this up coming season and was wondering where are they held around Australia and what times during the year?
does any body have dates for any up coming comps like October onwards?
I'm from Victoria so how many are held down this way? During the St Kilda festival there is one but are there any others during the season?
i only know of the MAMBO classic and the Coconet Classic and there any others?
Any help would be fantastic,

Hi Coose,
Depending on what your into waves or freestyle, there's a few.
Mambo in november.
Aussie wave nats, usually around Feb.
Aussie freestyle nats, usually around march/april
Lennox Wave comp (QLD/NSW state), usually end oct. Not sure if this one is going ahead this year thou.
Coconet classic, easter at tannum sands and bowen in sept.
Kitestock in WA sometime in march.
ARSA mackay in june, just gone.
Thats about all that comes to mind. Sure there are also some local comps around the place and in WA during summer season.

Ok I have heard that this year Tannum Sands will also be the freestyle nationals..
Each state is suppose to have a state titles freestyle an wave event so people can qualify for the nationals.
Last year in SA they had 2 state ttitles as well as the guys in wyalla had a comp fun day as well.
Basically you need to keep your ear out and nearly all comps are posted as events on seabreeze, or check Kiteboarder mag as well..

yeah ill keep an ear out, ill try get updated because once you get to a certain level of riding its easy to get known but its hard just to stay down in Melbourne because of the few comps down this way they are all based up in QLD and WA
is any body from Vic going to drive up to any of these comps? send me a PM if i can get a lift, i am happy to pay some petrol money.

it was setup lastyear as a race i believe.. i was a bit too much of a noob then to compete.

Coconet Classics are wicked!
such a good event with heaps of sports and music going on..
We had a blast there, best vibe and heaps of people.
The whole organization is done so well too!
Does anybody know when the DVD from the o8 comp comes out?

I've been to tannum every year and won't be missing one..
Am looking forward to the dvd release as well.

KBV is trying to get alot more events on it calendar this season around victoria there is a comp on the week after the st kilda festivle hook stock which should be bigger and better this year.
the state titles will also be held sometime over summer as well as a few social events that are planed
