pulled up @ primbee for a kite today and two kiters
wrestling with this kite , and speaking to the said tree...
the bridle was so tightly wrapped there was only one option left.....we hooked the chicken loop on the nearest hilux towball and coaxed it out...the kite was.already torn in 2 places and a right off before the hilux...

I rotated the pics but they still stayed the wrong way

That was epic pulling it out of the tree, I cant believe all was still inflated, no puncture to the LE or struts.

Scared me enough to drift launch my kite yesterday!

It was a 2010 Epic Renegade,my first kite,RIP.
Kites a write off,saved the lines.Gusty,****ty conditions,tethered
off to a fence post, like 100 times before, line was crossed so the lazy,
impatient f@&ker i am (my wifes description)
decided to fix it on the water instead of a 2 min
onshore fix.Disconnected bottom steering line,
let go of power line to uncross the line, bingo.
tree was exactly 25 metres away. Stupidity has it's own
punishment!
thanks to the guys that tried to help.

OMG another tree hugger

Those trees are nothing but a residential view block and kite killer.
In fact they planted them all around the lake and they spread like weeds. One trunk becomes many.
The leaves are needles and block house gutters dry out and are a fire hazard.
I have never seen any type of wildlife ( accept Roundguts ) any where near them.
The limbs split and snap off in decent winds ( as seen also at Primbee ) just missing one of the local kiters walking past.
So to answer your Question the birds don't live in them anyway.....
From the local rag.
Group spokesman John Davey said FIG did not condone the poisoning, but said it highlighted the concerns that many people had with the "accelerating and exponential" growth of casuarina

Nothing beats the gumtree/pinetree combo at Melville WA. It has kept Neil at Hold the line with very regular work.
