I found this great little utube mod thats inexpensive (if you have multiple) and a simple way to
make your standard plastic ronstan pully safer when it all goes pearshaped

For the Morons who dont have the plastic pulleys - piss off and read a C kite thread

You obviously don't kite hard enough.

Yeah, and you should bolt a metal bar down the centre of your board in case that snaps, and double up the depower line incase that breaks and carry a second helmet incase you lose that one etc etc

I'll second that. 10 years of kites with pulleys and I have had one pulley seize up in that time. None have broken. None have shown any signs of wear.

The pulley saver would make sense if you were doing and epic ocean crossing. For normal riding it looks like an unnecessary complication.

You guys that have problems with pulleys need to look at your setup/packdown process.

Ohhhhhh it seems the ME ME ME d/heads are bagging a general safety topic that doesnt cover just a few - but covers all those who just aprreciate someone thinking about SIMPLE safety fixs

Just goes to show you that the same few - never look at the average kiter on the beach whos just wraps the kite up sand n all, gets put straight into the bag until next kite session..1 days time or 3 months !!!

The funniest part is that FigJam d/heads who bag safety topics will always winge about having to save those same people that come unstuck!

Freakn idiots - why do you wear a safety leash again

That is a ingenious invention, however it seems like a bit of over engineering when you could just replace those pulleys with ronstan orbit blocks.

Oh, i should add, I have replaced pulleys as they have worn making the roller edge sharp which leads to quicker fraying of P lines.

Yep i dont kite hard, i do it easy

Boom Vector and Boom Prion. Depowerable, relaunchable, 4 line foils. They did everything bow kites did until bow kites came along and blew them out of the water. I used the same quiver of kites intensively for 5 years from 2001.

STW, you're a bit sensitive today.. Should have just posted what is helpful advice in that video and let it be - IMO.
Instead you hang around watching your thread and call everyone that replies "morons & d/heads"?
I'll just put it down to the time of month for ya... Breathe dude..

BTW, Cauncy's comment is legit. He doesn't have C kites, he has damn good bridled kites that don't need pulleys

I call it leveling the playing field

so the same old Punters behind a their wee keyboards will realise that their stupid crapping about a OT subject gets noticed...

Put simply for you idots

If you like Naish, but not Slingshot... dont go tossing off in a Slingshot thread
If you dont have anything RELEVANT to add to a topic - then STFU

Goodnight Cherubs
