Hey guys,
I'm going to Mana Island in Fiji at the end of the month for a family holiday. I can sneak 2 kites and one board along. Because its a family holiday i wont be looking to milk everysingle wind opportunity. I'll go for a kite if the conditions are good. If not wont bother kiting.
So its time to start thinking about kite selection. I've found windfinder has a forecast for Mana.
www.windfinder.com/forecast/fiji_mana_island?utm_source=www.windfinder.com&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=redirectObviously what i'll do is make my selection based on the forecast before I go.
My question really is this. Does wind finder give an accurate wind reading for Fiji? Is there a better more accurate forecast?
Do I need to add a seabrease to these figures?
Based on what I have seen so far i'm thinking 13m and 10m. Conditions look to be between 15-20 knots on a good day? The good wind comes from SE.
Any other advice greatly appreciated.
