I want to buy some gear kite and board what size kite and board would i need i weigh about 82 kg and about 185cm tall ?

The first thing you should do is talk to the instructor that taught you or is about to teach you, As when you go through the learning phase you will know what size kite will suit the conditions that you want to kite in, Don't buy a kite without lessons, Also talking to the locals kite lads / girls in your area gives you a fair idea of wind ranges etc.

i'm 85 and i find i can kite in the majority of conditions on a 12m kite and 132 board.
although i'm selling my eleven cause i need a smaller one for the big winds otherwise i miss out on kiting

Mate, do some research and GET LESSONS... really important otherwise this can happen...

read that, then do a google search "kitemare" youll definatly want lessons and the right advice then..

GET LESSONS. If you are foolish enough to not get lessons I recommend getting a 20m kite with a 150 board and going out in 40knot winds.

Get lessons.
