Hi to all, some advice needed on which kite you may all think is a great allrounder. I curently have 2 LiquidForce Spectrum kites, a 12 and a 15. The kites are getting old and don't keep up with me much at all anymore. So the time has come to upgrade. I havn't flown a bow kite as yet and from all reports they are so much better than a "c" kite. so with that in mind i would like to consider upgraging, Secondhand would much better suite my budget to. sizes i have currently have are... 6,8,12,15,16.5 so i am looking at between 10 and 14.. cheers

Sam, you need to tell us more about your circumstances before we can suggest options for you. How much do you weigh?, what type of riding do you do/ aim to do most?what are your local conditions like?what level is your kiting ability, and what do you want most out of your kite?

i got a 2010 hifi comp 9m for sale, the new kites are quite a bit gruntier than the old ones, with this 9 i get a range of about 17 - 25 quite easily with unhooked riding, add another few knots on top end for hooked in boosts and stuff.

pretty solid all rounder for waves, boosting and unhooking as you can tune it to sit further forward or back in the window. it also has a big amount of instant depower for safety and the obvious benefit of a 5th line safety.

bow kites are only safer and better than old C kites, all the new C kites / hybrids have just as much depower and range with the added performance benefits.

I have not long ago bought my second kite and tried alot of kites in the process. I picked a Slingshot Octane 11m. Its nice to ride in 15 to 25 knots for my size, i find it to be very stable and quick when you need it to be. I am 86kg and ride flat water around Bris and Redcliffe. I also liked the Core GT, and the Best Warooo. Best for you to do the same and demo as many kites as you can to make you own decision.
