My name is actually an insider joke. I have an idea about how to do it but input from others should allow me to improve my ideas.

ANd i can advertise the sport itself because its just like advertising a service. i even asked my teacher.

my two target audiences will prob be surfers and teenagers (as there arent many of us gromets in the sport).

I'd like any video or pics of cruising, gear, boosting big, fast tricks, slow tricks done with style and safety systems.

you cant do kiteboarding as it is a pastime/sport. If you do a product like a kite or board, you can have a lot of fun... IMO do a kite...

What are you talking about Dave...of course you can sell kite-surfing. Just because someone doesn't own kite surfing, doesn't mean it can't be advertised. Also, if you choose a kite as the product, then MasterUWA will need to select 2 audiences to sell it to...what 2 different audiences can you sell a kite to?

MasterUWA, IMO choosing surfers and teenagers seems really similar, or atleast overlap. There are a lot of teenage surfers out there and there are a lot of surfers who know what kite-surfing is.

I don't know what your specific requirements for the project are but this is what I would do:

I would pick the tourist industry as one my target audiences...or at least an ad to entice people to take up the sport. Nothing too specific. Sell it by saying it's easy, safe and a great thrill and you can take the sport anywhere of Australia's most beautiful locations. Similar to those government ads about taking up sport etc...

This gives you the oppurtunity to get really nice photos/or vids of locations around australia and people doing some really cool stuff. Also throw some shots in woman kite surfers.

The second audience could be more specific i.e. you could sell kite surfing from a kite school perspective, advertising their instructor services i.e.. "Come to my kite school and learn to kite surf the easy and safe way..."

Show people using trainer kites, shots of beginners and then more advanced kiters doing some really cools stuff "saying you can go from this (beginner) to this (advanced) in no time and safely. Also throw some shots in woman kite surfers.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
