Yep - Kited a lot in Ohau. It is a neat trick to duck in there on the way and way back to Seattle :)

Kailua is the best for ease of access and open beach. There is plenty of bed and breakfast type accomodation. Hire a car and drive up and over the mountains. about 25min from airport...

Thanks for your response.
Unit 20 is Alala Rd.
Unit 21 is Makalii Pl.
Unit 29 is S. Kalaheo Ave.

Unit 20 is the only 2 bdrm. It has 1 queen and 2 twins.

Unit 21 is a 1 bdrm with 1 queen and a bonus room with 2 twins. This second sleeping area has a ceiling height of 5 feet.

Unit 29 is a large studio. It has 1 queen and 1 twin.

On the "North Shore" of the Island it is a bit gnarly (shallow reef), and tide dependent, but better waves. Most of the locals use surfboard style boards. Accomodation is also bed and breakfast, but the Youth Hostel near Waimia Bay is pretty good.
