Hey punters,

The kitegirls clinic which has been running all week is drawing to a close tomorrow. We will be riding at Pt Walter in the morning and shooting the final days video.

All of the girls are now fully up to speed on the theory, and setup of their gear, the physics and dynamics of the sport and most of the tricks, care and maintenance of their equipment, and can handle almost any conditions with confidence.

All of the girls have improved their confidence and riding style immensely. The girls all came with different needs and with different levels of riding ability. They all improved dramatically with some at lower levels mastering jumps and toeside riding whilst others learned toeside and backrolls. One particular young lady learned proper back roll kiteloops and raleys that would impress the most hardcore of riders. Style, good posture and confidence were the most obvious take away skills common to all the girls.

I am bummed it is coming to a close, and would sincerely like to thank the 5 participants in the first ever Kitegirls Riding Clinic in Perth for there enthusiasm, support, friendship and great senses of humour. Their dedication to their riding and their trust in me to help them on their endless progression and pursuit of fun in kiting. Many thanks also to all of the partners of the girls who encouraged them to come along and tolerated them talking about their learnings and fun had all week whilst you all were working.

Thank you all, I have been re-inspired and will continue to work and improve on this course and others like it for the future.

Very best wishes for blue skies and steady winds,

Darren Marshall

Big thank you to Darren for setting aside the week to coach us. I was getting a bit stale with cruising back and forth with no inspiration of what to learn next, now that's solved! Recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the technical side of kites, boards, wind etc. better and improve their riding!

yoyoyoh hello, five days after and still not returned to normal! It was great, it was fantastic, and magnificent! Sorry I missed the very last day, I'll make it up on the first day of next clinic! You can enrol me already Darren. Thanks a lot for being so patient (or was that just the outside in conflict with the inside?!). anyway, you were a Great Teacher. And Flick you are right: it was a ball. Really hope to stay in touch with you girls. Have fun.
