Hi Guys.. it has been a while and I thought I'd update you on this..

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/General/Kitelife-Equipment-Protectant/?page=3

I've just applied the protectant on my trailer cover.. the trailer cover has been outside in the weather as where it lives - see photos.

Well the conclusion is - brilliant !!! I wiped the trailer with the product and it really looks like the day I applied it first. The kite fabric looks as new as day one. It has been in the sun, rain, dust, whatever...

So, it seems to work well. I haven't posted any photos because there is absolutely no difference from day 1 - it looks new. For now I am satisfied.

Kitelife 2 - weather 0

Did you have a control sample, a patch without the stuff that got equal exposure to the elements? Have you done a tear strength test between treated and untreated samples?

I'm not being a smartass, but just asking because these things were suggested in the original thread and without these comparisons, the way one bit looks is meaningless.

Hey Djdojo, I did do a comparizon test. If you have a look at the last post - only the left side, from back, was treated. The right side was left untreated and it looked not so new, a little sun beaten. As I am now happy with it I have treated the whole cover as I the purpose was protection for the lot .

As the season is about to kick in properly I will not treat my kites, they don't need it yet. I will wait until the end of the season if I have to stop kiting for a while.. doubt it .

I'm about to move to warmer areas so its unlikely I need to worry for a bit. But if you want your kite to look swish to sell kitelife is the ticket eheh.

Cheers

btw, I have nothing to do with the brand. I still think their service sucks..

I said I would post my conclusions and I did, that's all. It's only my opinion and it should be taken as such - an opinion .

If anyone wants some real testing .. get crackin' ..

So no doubt the loudmouths that bagged the krapper out of the product/retailers some time back will be lining up to eat humble pie.. er.. if they could get their feet outta their mouths and their hands off their d!cks.
