With the temperatures picking up, does anyone know who stocks kitepants in victoria? (before you laugh and give me the "look cool" lecture, I am not allowed to get sunburn on my right leg after picking up a bacterial skin infection a while ago, so its actually for a reason)

Safer, A cheaper option will be one of those body suits used in Quensland to protect divers during the stingers season. I have one of those for the hot summer days, and is doing a great job. I ordered few years ago trough Mac's Skate Sky and Surf, on South Road in Moorabbin.
