As I understand it...

KitePower is opening a store where BrisKites were; and BrisKites is opening a store opposite Brighton pretty much.

You Queenland folks seem to have a lot of kitestores in the SE. corner region.
Another surfshop has just opened in my town near my patch....
that makes 5 now, along with a dedicated esky-lid store.
But there's still no kitestore here, maybe that's a good thing ?

Most of kite shops bar Goodtime, are located at Brighton/ Redcliffe area <excluding goldy-sunshine coast>

I can predict their responses to the stores, let along if anyone ever though of putting one in at wello! LOL

The van is not lost, missed maybe but not lost.
Its true we are opening in Brisbane, we've wanted a shop there ever since we had one in Mooloolaba.
Jon Ashmore will be the owner, he is there now working hard to get/find some hard working Qld'ers to work hard
Its all going well, shopfitting was completed yesterday I think, signage and some other work to be done soon and then the stock will start to flood in.

We have heard nothing but positives from the locals.

Steve considering the market is "flooded" and "overstocked" I was just wondering how there could be possibly room for another bricks and mortar retailer in the area?

That just makes it a good time to be a kiter Spacemonkey, prices are actually falling in real terms, look how much your basic cost of living items have gone up, and kites have either increased on slightly or they have gone down, some incredibly, like a Slingy T3 11M for $1359 this season. More deals like that to come I reckon.

Geday Maate

My van is too hectic for you, you would not be ready yet for what can go on inside an ozzie van. This is not Khazikstan maate, you need to do some serious training for trip in ozzie van, especially along the great coast land, where many strange things can happen to you.
Be careful out there maate, not everyone is lovink youse Khaziktanies, but I douse.
