Was kiting today with Dan (we were the only ones out, offshore side of woodies) and some sh#t c#nt stole my pump off the beach and Dans bag and pump. So what I hear you say... They took Dan's keys out of his kite bag and chucked 'em in the sand and didn't steal anything from his car. Some sick sort of a practical joke? own up. Or just really tame theives with a pump fetish.

probably a venom user trying to make a point.
(I have just realised this is polly not true as you had already pumped up )
oh well maybe just put the money saved from buying a new pump and get a PLK and put the keys in the kite
(this has gotta be a new angle on a pimp )

they used to hang horse thieves,my sentiment goes out to you Spaceape, set some bear traps just under the surface of the sand(near a kite pump)and wait for the f###ers to start howlling in pain then grab a shotty and put the lowlife thief out of his/her misery or alternatively contact you local police and arrange a plan to find and convict those low life scum from your area!

I dont leave any gear on the beach, and lock my electric key, in one of them lil safe things in the engine bay where it can bet got at, and had a black cut, for just unlocking the door (no remotes $7 each), and its kept on my harness.

bit off topic but along the lines of what to do to the c#nts if you catch em. i was out surfing at southwall the othe day with a pack of bodyboarders when a car full of hassling QLDers turned up and started dropping in on every single body boarder, at this point i though its going to be on in at the beach but nothing happend, the bodyboarders just got out and left and i thought gee that ended peacefully......until...... i got back to the car park where my car and one other car (the QLDers) one was parked...... they had undone all the wheels and dropped it on the road and chucked all the tires off the wall and into the river, funniest **** i have ever seen, took me so long to stop laughing.

p.s. my car was fine. moral of story, dont act like a c#nt.

i tried a couple of waterproof bags last year and they initially work really well. After a few weeks the seals/velcro etc all start to give and the water just pishes straight in.

i went the spare key, but have seen the lockbox used to effect as well.

Camping and travel stores stock a brand called "Design Go". In their range is a hard waterproof case http://www.design-go.com/detail_38896.html that is ideal for electronic car keys. It cost $10-15 (I don't really remember). They are best worn under a wetty or a tight rashy, otherwise don't hang them around your neck. I've used this for a season without a leak, and I know of other people using them too. Just don't tie it around you neck if you don't have a tight top on, better still, don't tie it around your silly neck at all (AzzA will not be liable for choked kiddies or idiots out there.)

This one is soft and may be able to be cable-tied to a harness www.design-go.com/detail_38839.html or worn around the hips under boardies.

And please don't play on the road. (It's not that I want your genes to continue swimming in the pool, it's just expensive getting panel work done on metallic paint.)

I don't want glad wrap bags to strap around myself when I'm kiting, I want to know what sort of a c#nt steals 2 pumps and a bag but leaves the car keys. I'm not going camping or sailing, I am going kiting. Plus the keys aren't even an issue, are pumps and kitebags not even safe these days.

No but the fact that they didn't leads me to suspect it was kiters that took it....

Mind you, that would certainly make for an entertaining distraction if used instead of the regulation board shorts... definitely a call to "go big, or go home", or at least go back in the water where you wont scare the kiddies.

As for the riff-raff: it would seem that they're familiar with the law, (been nicked before i guess) get pinched with the car keys and it's called car theft by a creative prosecutor... whilst the bag and pump might turn a few bucks at the local pawn shop (not to be confused with the porn or pron from the other postings www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=31137 .
