Hey Guys,

I've been reading & searching these forums for the past few hours.. found some very good advice on all aspects but wondering if you guys can give me some recommendations.

I grew up Windsurfing and Sailing, althought it was about 8 years ago i last was on a board, i've been keen on the Kitesurfing thing for a few years and after going for a drive down to Hampton - St.Kilda last weekend and seeing the hive of activity have decided to give it a shot.

I live in VIC, on the Mornington Peninsula, can anyone recommend any good Kiteschool's/instructors anywhere this side of the CBD??? (I understand from reading on here most people recommend 1 leason unless ya pockets are deep).

Also, is it worth buying one of these training kites?

Thanks in advance!

Trainig Kites = Good idea the more experience you get flying anytype of kite the better

The trainer kite is the best thing you can buy when getting in to the sport. If you can 2 lessons is ideal. 1 days safty, body draging and board, second day with the board. The more you fly a trainer kite befor you take lesons the better. I have a small sailing backround (just a little 0ne) which helps a lot but flying a kite is a little different. There's a couple places that do lessons in Vicco try the Victoria KiteBoard Association (www.kbv.org.au)web site that would be a good place to start.
good luck
