Hi guys,

as I travel along the westcoast in January for about two weeks I was just wondering if there are any further kitespots (I prefer flat water) north of Geraldton around Shark Bay or Ningaloo Reef?! Are there stingers around there or any other dangers to be noticed?

Would be glad to get any ideas...

Regards,

Holger

Little Lagoon and Big Lagoon (4WD only) are great but a bit scary if you are kiting on your own whatch out for stone fish in both location and tiger sharks swiming out of the channel at big lagoon, check it out on google earth.

Denham in Shark Bay is an excellent flat water spot. With bright turquoise water shallow for two hundred odd metres out. The campsite is on the beach the backpackers is just across the road from the beach.

Might see the odd small shark but if you’re paranoid about Noahs low tide keeps them further out.

Have a good trip
