Clemens, you mean physiotherapy?

I'd like to know more about excercises to prevent knee, ankle and elbow pain. How to strengthen said joints?

Thanks,
Bo

Hi Clemens,

Great career choice, once you are qualified it means you can travel and work around the world and all you have to bring is yourself and your kiting gear.
I have suffered pain in the patella tendon and would like to know what are the best exercises to do that will increase the stength of this tendon and hopefully avoid the pain from returning.
What about core conditioning and its role in stablizing the trunk, reducing the chances of straining your back during an epic session.

You could conduct a survey and find out what are the major injuries that kiters receive and then target these areas for strengh and conditioning.
Good Luck.

The main specifically kiters' injury seems to be kiters' elbow. Fortunately not suffered from it (yet), but it sounds like an over-use injury, and takes a long time to recover for some, so sounds perfect for research.

Traumatic injuries from kiting are like any other broken rib/fractured calcaneus etc, so probably less fruitful for research

i am not going to rave just tell ya. Clinical pilates not the bendy crap, this is the stuff with machines and springs and stuff. fixes muscle inbalances..it has put me back on the surf board and who knows my even get me ripping again and at 40 thats exciting.

It is just stating to go off..over the next decade who knows...big money spinners... especially cause it is the only stuff that i have found to work and i been in and out of physios all my life.

specialise in it and you will earn good bucks and start your own business years earlier. All the mega athletes are only just starting to realise its potential in injury prevention. The hospitals are not using it yet..bloody stupid..some are though and once it starts it will be like a runaway train.

luck

hay toby go to solutions physio 55803466 an check this gear out for your self. i am sure it would help, you should see the pro triathletes in the place. Two were there last week, they reakon it stops the injuries so they can train harder. You need a few sessions and with health care it is only about 15 dollars a shot. It will help and can not hurt

Yeah. I agree Paulio. Greenie and the Duke should cut the hair jokes.

You, Richo and I are sick and tired of getting charged a search fee every time we go to the Barbers.

My physical therapy problem comes from the back stabbing that this sport seems to attract. If you are the one to choose this path then you can expect me to bring the full weight of my upper pectrol swing in motion upon you. HAVE A NICE DAY.
